Keller Elementary Featured on WFRV
Keller class during Friendship WeekStudents at Keller elementary spent Friendship Week coming together to build friendships and prevent bullying. Each day of the week was assigned a specific theme and objective. For instance “Put a Lid on it Day.” was aimed towards reminding students that if they don’t have anything nice to say, “Put a lid on it”.

Other themed days included “Mismatch Day” and “Rainbow Day.” On Rainbow Day students could wear all colors of the rainbow. This day was geared towards embracing differences. Principal Dan Malmberg told Local Five news, “We’re all a little bit different, but when we all come together, we make a beautiful rainbow.”

Thursday night, after school, students and their families were invited to the Friendship Dance. The dance featured decorations created by students.

WFRV’s Local Five news highlighted the Kindergarten class and their activities for Friendship Week. Their story can be seen here.
