About Us

Dan Malmberg

Dear Parents:

Helen Keller Elementary School Mission Statement:

Families, students and staff build a strong community that bridges academic gaps, provides rigorous curriculum, and fosters positive relationships to develop mindful students with an appreciation of self, others and the world for now and for the future. The Keller Community works together to develop students who are college, career, and community ready.

The mission statement at Keller Elementary highlights what our school stands for in terms of its values and beliefs. We believe in high quality programming to promote academic achievement of all learners in a safe and supportive environment.

In order for children to learn to the best of their ability, they need to feel respected, valued and safe while at Keller. In classrooms, at lunchtime, and on the playground, teachers and students constantly model positive behavior and expect students to treat one another with respect. Our students are held to high standards of personal character and are expected to support one another. When students do make inappropriate choices, age-appropriate consequences are administered to help students understand why that choice is inappropriate and how to make better choices in the future.

Keller Elementary is grounded in strong values and beliefs about the education of young children. We take our job seriously and want to see all of our students grow and succeed.

If at any time you want to ask a question, clarify a concern, or make a comment, please call me at (920) 492-2685 or email me at djmalmberg@gbaps.org. Welcome to Keller Elementary!
